Join us in celebrating the first-ever international reissue of Haruomi Hosono's 1975 culture classic Tropical Dandy, which marked Hosono’s shift toward genre-blending, fusing exotica, jazz, and pop to lay the groundwork for Japanese City Pop.
Listen to Haruomi Hosono's Tropical Dandy, which has been described by none other than Van Dyke Parks as "cinematic romance with sonic texture." The listening session will also feature other classic albums and productions from Hosono. Listening sessions hosted by the team behind In Sheep's Clothing and Stones Throw Records.

Entrance & Check-in
The entrance to the garden can be found on San Pedro Street, between 2nd and 3rd Streets. The entrance is located between the JACCC Center Building (5-story Office Tower) and the adjacent alley.
Make sure to arrive early and bring your ID for this 21+ event. All patrons will visit the check-in table, so please have your e-ticket(s) with QR code ready.

JACCC is a 7-minute walk from the L.A. Metro Rail's Little Tokyo/Arts District Station, which connects to both the A and E lines via the Regional Connector.
