Celebrate the season with JACCC's Holiday Tea: A Harmonious Blend of East & West at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC). For two exclusive weekends this December, indulge in a one-of-a-kind afternoon tea service where the elegance of Japanese and Western traditions come together. Set against the serene backdrop of JACCC's lush, 41-year-old Japanese garden, this limited-time experience offers the perfect opportunity to savor the season.
Immerse yourself in the spirit of omotenashi (Japanese hospitality) with a delightful fusion of flavors. Savor Western-style pastries infused with Japanese ingredients, traditional tea sandwiches, and exquisite wagashi (Japanese sweets), all masterfully crafted by Japanese-American Chef Laura Ochikubo (Morihiro, Providence, Gusto Bread, The French Laundry). Elevate your experience with a refreshing glass of sparkling sake or other libations, available for purchase onsite.
As part of this elegant afternoon, explore a unique exhibit of antique Noritake china and rare Western-style tea cups from Japan, showcasing the impeccable craftsmanship of Japanese artisans.
Don’t miss this rare chance to enjoy a truly unique tea experience!
