Founded over 550 years ago in Kyoto, Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Los Angeles is the oldest school of ikebana, originating from Buddhist floral offerings and evolving into a refined art form rooted in harmony, balance, and the beauty of nature through minimalist design.
This year’s exhibition will feature 20 ikebana arrangements across the three principal styles of Ikenobo: Rikka, known for its grandeur and structure; Shoka, which highlights simplicity and natural elegance; and Freestyle, offering a contemporary and expressive approach.
Experience the quiet power and timeless beauty of Japanese floral art through thoughtfully composed works by Ikenobo instructors and students.
