This landmark event marks the debut of The Unprecedented Music Orchestra (UMO). A fearless new ensemble of world-class musicians drawn from Southern California's artistic community. UMO is more than just an orchestra; it’s a catalyst for change. These performers, with their bold artistry and diverse perspectives, are uniquely positioned to bring to life a program that reflects the breadth of creative expression of a new generation.

UMA is a collective of composers and musicians dedicated to bringing joy, beauty, and fresh experiences to the audiences of Southern California through performances of new music. UMA's mission is rooted in the belief that music should reflect the communities it serves and create a space for up-and-coming composers, musicians, and music-loving audiences of all kinds. UMA is building educational outreach programs, artistic development programs, and community-centered concerts in its aim to dismantle outdated hierarchies in classical music and championing collaboration and innovation at every level of its work.

The special guests for this concert are members from the Los Angeles music community who were affected by the recent wildfires. As part of UMA's commitment to supporting musicians both on and off the stage, a portion of the proceeds from IMPACT will be donated to MusiCares to benefit other musicians who are still recovering from the wildfires.
