Come join the downtown Los Angeles community at the 80th Annual Nisei Week Japanese Festival in historic Little Tokyo.
6:30 pm - 7:45 pm | The Noguchi Plaza
Parade dance practice starts on 6:30 p.m., followed by Street Ondo dance practice from 7:45 p.m. The practice video recorded at the demonstration session on June 6 will be released soon on social media.
11:00 am - 4:00 pm | Center Building
Free cultural exhibits of ikebana, tea ceremony, Japanese dolls, and ceramics will be on display, featuring the works of Southern California Ikebana Teachers Association, Omotesenke School of Tea, Yukari-kai, and the California Japanese Ceramic Arts Guild.
3:00 pm - 6:00 pm | Aratani Theatre
The Nisei Week court candidates show off the results of their training and vie to be crowned the 2022 Nisei Week Queen

Plenty of entertainment such as martial arts and activities will be available for the entire family at the Plaza Festival. On Aug. 20, come experience a Nisei Week food event, sponsored by Day-Lee Foods, which will include local chefs as well as a beer and sake garden. And plan to stay for Nisei Week Sunset on the Plaza night event for pop-up food vendors, entertainment, and more.
