Nature teaches us that rest and slowing down are essential for the longevity and vitality of any living ecosystem. While capitalism often indoctrinates us to operate in a constant state of urgency and productivity, what if we took a cue from the winter season? What if we intentionally slowed down, took a deep breath, and reflected on who and where we are at this moment—examining our values, desires, creative longings, and dreams for a better future?
Just as soil must be rich in nutrients to grow healthy plants, we focus now on enriching our inner soil. There’s no need yet to plant seeds, determine what we’re growing, or plan action steps and to-do lists. This workshop is dedicated to stillness, yin energy, receptivity, deep listening, and nourishing yourself profoundly.
Although we live amidst global crises that demand urgent collective attention and action, we can also prepare our imaginations—slowly and steadily—for the growth ahead. This growth will take form as ideas, inspiration, paradigm shifts, creative projects, community collaborations, and more in the coming months, years, and decades. A forest does not grow overnight, and we are collectively tending to the fertile ground from which an abundant forest will rise as old oppressive structures crumble.
Through meditation, journaling prompts, group discussions, and visualization exercises, we will tune into the nourishment our inner landscapes need and align ourselves toward the co-creation of liberation. Each ticket includes a copy of the newly published affirmation deck COSMIC COMFORT by Yumi Sakugawa.
This workshop is a collaboration between JACCC and Yumi Sakugawa. Discover the power of stillness, renew your spirit, and envision a liberated future—join us and be part of this transformative journey!
