The Kosaka Center is home to classes in Japanese and Japanese American arts and culture, such as shōdo (Japanese calligraphy), ikebana (flower arranging), chado (tea ceremony), bonsai, traditional dance and music, as well as classes developed in partnership with local arts groups.
The Center – named to honor JACCC’s long-tenured Master Artist in Residence, Hirokazu Kosaka – provides immersive learning opportunities that cannot be found under one roof anywhere else in Southern California.
