In 2019, JACCC renovated the Center Building’s Garden-level to create the Toshizo Watanabe Culinary Cultural Center (TWCCC), with a very generous donation from its eponymous donor, supplemented by gifts from JACCC’s Board of Directors and community members.
TWCCC allows JACCC to explore Los Angeles’ foodways and Japanese culinary arts with pop-up restaurants, classes/workshops, and special events coinciding with seasonal changes, holidays, and programming curated by staff.
